Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 15/04/2026

This Cancellation Policy explains the terms and conditions under which services, publishing services, book orders, and other products or services requested through the DALTA INDIA website may be cancelled.

By using our website or placing an order for our services or products, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this Cancellation Policy.

1. Service Cancellation Request

Customers may request cancellation of a service if the cancellation request is made before the service process has started.

Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible after placing the order through the official contact channel provided on the DALTA INDIA website.

A cancellation request will be subject to verification of the status of the relevant service or order.

2. Cancellation After Service Processing

Once processing of a service has commenced, cancellation may not be possible.

This may include situations where:

  • Customized work has been initiated

  • An application has been submitted to a government authority, statutory body, examination authority, or regulatory body

  • Third-party services have already been engaged

  • Fees or charges have already been paid to a government authority or third-party service provider

In such circumstances, the customer may not be eligible for cancellation or refund, subject to the applicable Refund Policy.

3. Publishing Service Cancellation

For publishing services, cancellation may be requested before substantial work has commenced.

Once any of the following activities have started, cancellation may not be possible or may be subject to deductions for work already completed:

  • Manuscript review

  • Editing or proofreading

  • Formatting or typesetting

  • Cover design

  • Interior book design

  • ISBN-related processing

  • Page layout preparation

  • Printing or production

  • Other customized publishing work

Where work has already been completed or expenses have been incurred on behalf of the customer, the amount refundable, if any, may be determined based on the work completed and non-recoverable expenses incurred.

4. Book and Printed Product Orders

Orders for physical books, publications, study materials, printed materials, or other products may be cancelled only before the order has been processed for dispatch or production, where applicable.

Once an order has been:

  • Printed or produced,

  • Packed,

  • Dispatched, or

  • Specifically prepared as a customized or made-to-order product,

cancellation may not be possible.

Any return or replacement of physical products, where permitted, will be governed by the applicable Refund and Return Policy.

5. Customized or Made-to-Order Publications

Customized books, publications, printed materials, or other products prepared specifically according to a customer's requirements may not be eligible for cancellation once production has commenced.

This may include publications involving:

  • Customized content

  • Personalized formatting

  • Special printing

  • Custom cover or design

  • Author-specific publishing arrangements

  • Bulk printing

  • Made-to-order publications

Customers are therefore advised to verify the order details and requirements before confirming such orders.

6. Government and Third-Party Fees

Any government fees, statutory charges, registration fees, examination fees, courier charges, payment gateway charges where applicable, or third-party service fees that have already been paid or incurred as part of the service process may be non-cancellable and non-refundable, subject to the terms of the respective authority or service provider.

DALTA INDIA cannot guarantee the recovery or refund of amounts paid directly to government authorities or third-party service providers.

7. Incomplete or Delayed Customer Documentation

Customers are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely documents and information required for the requested service.

If a customer fails to provide the required documents or information within a reasonable period, the service may be delayed, placed on hold, or cancelled.

Any refund in such circumstances will be subject to the applicable Refund Policy and the stage of work already completed.

8. Incorrect or False Information

If a customer provides incorrect, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information or documents, DALTA INDIA may suspend or cancel the relevant service.

In such cases, the customer may not be entitled to a refund for work already performed or expenses already incurred.

DALTA INDIA reserves the right to take appropriate action where required by law.
